| Additional Information |
New York native Zach Lipkins has been involved with music since the age of 7, when he first played the drums. Since then, he has explored many percussive and melodic instruments alike. Initially showing a passion for music with a more aggressive edge, Zach was drawn towards acts such as Deftones and Incubus in his earlier days. When he began attending Berklee College of Music, his musical tastes began to expand, gyrating towards electronic music. Zach's sound as an artist has since evolved into a a blend of IDM, Trip-Hop and world influences, fused together with an organically electronic theme.
"One of the most interesting and potentially talented artists I have encountered for a long time, Zach Lipkins is bound to explore the possibilities further and refine his already perfected organic/artificial aural magic. Like the cover art tree, his music is twisted, artistic and beautiful in the most fascinatingly natural way." -- The Lemur Blog
"Frankly I was pulled in within the first 30 seconds of 'Overneath'. What I was drawn into was the naturally electronic sound of the instruments that were added in subtle but effective layers. He adds quick breaks that keep you progressively more intrigued and interested. The music works so well in your headphones, weaving patterns and images in the back of your mind.??If I didn't know any better, I'd think that I was tripping on acid." --Bridging The Atlantic
